It plays cd’s normally and the tv tuner works normally. The dvd is the only thing having a problem.

I have a GoVideo dp8440 portable dvd player that says “wrong disc” everytime a dvd is inserted. Whats wrong?

ian Is a portable DVD player capable of recieving a calbe/dtv signal?
December 25th, 2009 ian Of coarse it would need the correct inputs, but the question is more pointed to whether or not it has to have a built in tv tuner.

December 24th, 2009 ian Which portable DVD player would be best for this? What options should I look for? I would like to hook it up via a standard Co-ax cable. I would prefer a portable DVD player with a antenna TV tuner built in. Apparently there are a few models with such an option.
